EnAct Community Action
Through our workforce development program we can assist with tuition, books, employment supplies, emergency transportation such as bus passes. EnAct also offers Trades Education & Development Program (TED) which targets minorities and those that are hard to employ due to barriers such as incarceration, drug addiction, lack of education or skill, etc. This program is focused on meeting the needs of the target population to train and prepare them for apprenticeship entry and employment with local employers who are faced with the challenge of recruiting minimally skilled applicants from the employment pool.

Division of Rehabilitation Services
The West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) is here to support youth and adults with disabilities (ages 14 and up) on their path to work and live independently. DRS provides vocational services that help individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, regain, maintain or advance in employment. Vocational rehabilitation counselors help consumers assess interests and abilities, as well as explore career options to develop individualized employment plans that will empower each person to meet his or her unique employment goals.

Jobs & Hope West Virginia
Jobs & Hope WV is a beginning-to-end program that allows an individual to receive free addiction treatment while at the same time receiving free career technical education. All West Virginians are welcome to receive free additional training and certification whether you have a drug issue or not.

Southwestern Community Action Council, Senior Community Services Employment Program
The Senior Community Services Employment Program was developed by the US Department of Labor and is administered through the National Council on Aging as a program to provide individuals aged fifty-five and over with training and skills to help them move toward employment. Must by aged 55 or older, unemployed, and meet income guidelines. Participants train an average of 20 hours per week and are paid a training stipend while they gain skills and experience.

Workforce WV
Empowered Employment is a 26 week program through Workforce WV in which its participants who are in recovery have the opportunity to learn new skill sets and to exercise old ones in a workplace setting. This program also includes the study and completion of a curriculum which is designed to address seven foundational building blocks of workplace skills and work ethics.
