Fayette County Early Learning Community
Our vision is to work towards transforming Fayette County into a community where all young children get a great start and establish a foundation for lifelong success and well-being.
Four Building Blocks of an Early Learning Community

Building Block 1 – Commitment
At the heart of an Early Learning Community, children and families are a priority. This requires support from leaders, funding and other resources for early childhood.
Building Block 2 – Services
Families and children in an Early Learning Community have easy access to services. Services are well coordinated, supported to improve quality and access, and are responsive to family’s needs.

Building Block 3 – Neighborhoods
Early Learning Communities focus on improving neighborhood conditions to ensure safe, healthy environments for families and children. This includes access to food, outdoor spaces, clear air and water, safe housing, and being connected to neighbors.
Building Block 4 – Policies
In an Early Learning Community, we pay attention to how policies can support children and families. This includes family’s wellbeing, ability to meet their needs, and children/family services.
