Adult Protective Services (APS) investigates reports of adult abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation while providing least restrictive interventions. It is the mission of APS to provide support and services to vulnerable adults to improve the safety, well-being, and independence of victims of abuse, neglect, self-neglect, and financial exploitation.

Aging & Disability Resource Network

The West Virginia Aging & Disability Resource Network (ADRN) is a professionally staffed office that assists seniors and persons with disabilities find appropriate long-term services and supports. The ADRN professionals also help individuals apply for those services that suit their independent living and long-term care needs.

Central WV Aging Services

Provides companion care and personal care services that are designed to take over or assist in the activities that elders need to be able to stay at home safely and with dignity. These may include medication and fluids reminders, light housekeeping, meal preparation, grooming or bathing assistance, transport to medical appointments, and running errands.

HospiceCare

HospiceCare is West Virginia’s oldest and largest provider of hospice, palliative and bereavement services. Our mission is to provide compassionate care and affirm life through hospice, palliative and other supportive care services to the patients, families and communities we serve. We strive to serve our patients and families with inclusive care through innovative, multidisciplinary approaches and diverse community partnerships. Embracing our history of high-quality hospice care and rising to meet the expanding need of healthcare services in our communities.

We provide our services to patients wherever is most convenient to them – in their home, in an assisted living or nursing home facility, or in one of our four in-patient facilities – The Hubbard Hospice House, Hubbard West at Thomas Memorial Hospital, HospiceCare at CAMC Memorial (all in Charleston, WV) and the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, WV.

Hospice of Southern WV

Hospice of Southern West Virginia (HSWV) services are provided primarily in the home but can be carried out at long-term facilities, personal care homes or at The Bowers Hospice House. Our mission is to provide compassionate physical, emotional and spiritual care that promotes the highest quality of living during life-limiting illness and in times of grief to individuals, families and the communities we serve.

Putnam County Aging Program

Putnam Aging Program sponsors the Fayette County Senior Programs. 3 sites serve a nutritious lunch daily at 12:00 (except Oak Hill which serves at 11:30), Monday through Friday, except on State observed holidays or periods of inclement weather.
